The three levels of this Side Table are cut from the same slab that made the Coffee Table. The levels are held in compression with three threaded rods, which travel through the square aluminum tubing and are tightened with nylock nuts. The nuts are supported and hidden in six spots with machined aluminum caps and feet.

The bottom level has a large crack running through it, so I filled it with clear resin. I had never done this sort of thing in wood before and learned a lot.

The wood came from Peroba Reclaimed, an awesome Bay Area provider with a great mission. I decided to celebrate the origin of the wood by leaving the marking tape where I originally found it.
